FOR Semi Radradra, making the Vodafone Fiji Bati team for the Rugby League World Cup is the boost he needed in his budding career.
The 21-year-old Parramatta Eels winger was on cloud nine after being named in the national team for the world cup.
Radradra, who represented Fiji in the IRB 7s series and the Junior Rugby World Cup, hopes to learn from the experienced National Rugby League players in the Fiji team during the world cup.
"I will give my best shot," Radradra, who has played seven matches for the Eels and scored five tries, said.
"I thank everyone for the support and I'm looking forward to the opportunity (of playing for Fiji)."
Radradra said former Fiji Bati Jarryd Hayne played a big role in guiding him with the Eels.
Hayne, who is the Eels co-captain, is one of the stars in the NRL competition.
"I'm happy with my game with the Parramatta Eels. We have some good players playing in there," Radradra said.
"I have signed with them for another two years so I'm looking forward to staying with them."
