SOME players that featured for the United States at last year's Gold Coast 7s have been named into the team for the upcoming Fiji Water International 7s tournament.
Head coach Matt Hawkins has recalled Tai Enosa, Zack Test, Brett Thompson and speedster Carlin Isles and will introduce a few new faces at the HSBC Sevens World Series at the Gold Coast next month.
Rugby World Cup Sevens players Nick Edwards, Jack Halalilo, Folau Niua and Test will lead the charge for the Eagles.
And following the departure of experienced players like Blaine Scully and Luke Hume, Hawkins will use the Centennial tournament to expose his players prior to the start of the Gold Coast.
"We've always had a bunch of guys leave and go on to bigger and better things," Hawkins told rugbymag.com.
"There are plenty of moving parts and that's just what the sevens world is.
"I think the guys we have here have grown a lot over the past year and some of the new guys joining us have brought a fresh energy, which is really great."
