THE Naitasiri Rugby Union received a major boost ahead of its Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy defence against Nadi this weekend.
Yesterday, the union announced the extension of its sponsorship with Tacirua Bus Transport for another year.
The bus company will be its major sponsor next season. The side will be known as the Tacirua Transport Naitasiri Highlanders.
"This is a major boost for us," NRU chairman Peceli Rinakama said.
"We are so thankful to Tacirua transport for their support, they have been our silent supporter for the past couple of years but now they have announced this sponsorship. We are so thankful to them."
The Highlanders face an uphill battle in its first trophy defence against Nadi at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Saturday.
Rinakama said they were ready to defend the trophy against Nadi.
He urged Naitasiri fans to come out in numbers and show their support to the boys.
Meanwhile, Naitasiri will miss the services of experienced winger and former national rep Mosese Luveitasau.
"Luveitasau was injured and he will miss the game against Nadi. We have other players who are capable of filling in his spot."
Yesterday, the Fiji Rugby Union released the ticket prices. The grandstand tickets cost $15, embankment $10 and ground $5.
The Naitasiri-Nadi game kicks off at 3.30pm.
