RENOWNED Fijian music artist Gilman Lasaisuva says the response to a fundraiser concert which will be held in Nadi on Saturday has been promising.
Lasaisuva, who is also the president of the Western Musicians and Entertainers Association, said the bands were rehearsing in earnest and ticket sales were proceeding well.
"We are really looking forward to hosting people from the Western Division to a feast of live music on Saturday at the New Nadi Farmers Club," said Lasaisuva.
"The concert is being held to support programs that we intend to host for the remainder of this year and this includes holding workshops to assist musicians who are finding it difficult to get gigs," he said.
"We want to develop new talent and this will be an opportunity for people who love music to show their support for our local industry."
The Keep Music Alive concert starts at 6pm at the New Nadi Farmers Club and tickets are available at the door.
