RADISSON Blu Fiji in Denarau has once again reaffirmed its commitment to neighbouring communities by giving computers, cooking and culinary equipment to Nadi's Ratu Navula College.
Resort general manager Gerard Knight said apart from the 10 computers they gave the school, the cooking items were a gift for students being trained in the school's tourism and hospitality department.
"We wanted to ensure that the students improve their computer skills which is why we wanted to give 10 more computers on top of the 10 we've already donated," he said.
"We also look at worthy causes in the area and we are always looking forward to helping schools like Ratu Navula."
Mr Knight said their second gift to the hospitality department was an important aspect of their assistance because it would encourage students to learn more about the tourism industry.
"We largely look at the education of children from the local community, specifically in the hotel and tourism industry so that when they leave school they will be able to find employment at nearby resorts.
"We are always looking for more opportunities to help our local communities."
