A 25-YEAR-old woman was yesterday interviewed under caution and released for allegedly impersonating a police officer in Cakaudrove.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the woman was caught after an LTA officer stopped her along the Labasa-Nabouwalu highway during a patrol.
"The officer found that the woman was driving without a valid driving licence," Ms Naisoro said.
"When she was asked to produce some form of identification, the woman produced a name tag allegedly belonging to the Fiji Police Force.
"Upon further enquiries, it was found that she had produced the name tag of a police officer who is currently based at the Savusavu Police Station."
Ms Naisoro said investigations continued.
