FIRST-TIMERS to the University of Fiji Sugar Festival, Masti Dance Group have hailed their performance at the Western Division fete as one of their best ever.
Group founder Amit Ashwin Chand, who is also the co-ordinator and choreographer, said the success of the show resulted in the group booking a place at next year's event.
"It was an amazing experience," Mr Chand said.
"We were really blown away by the crowd reaction and it has left a lasting impression with us.
"We didn't expect the reaction from the crowd to be so enthusiastic and we are looking forward to returning next year to grace the stage once again.
"We would like to thank Lautoka for receiving us so enthusiastically."
Mr Chand said since the group's inception in 2008, the performance at the Churchill Park this week was the highlight of their career.
"Performing dance moves to a crowd that's yelling and screaming enthusiastically has really inspired us to perform better the next time around."
Entertainment has played a big factor at the fete this year with the Pacific's number one group, Rosiloa kicking things off with a mesmerising live performance on Saturday at the Rara Rumble.
