PLAYERS in Fiji rugby's B Division champion Ba have been inspired by Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel and Ba special administrator Praveen Bala as they prepare to face Macuata in the promotion relegation match on September 5.
Speaking at a dinner function hosted by the Ba Town Council on Wednesday night, players were reminded to maintain discipline as they geared to fulfil their dream of playing in the major division.
Bala said teamwork and discipline were two of the significant ingredients needed to mould a winning combination.
He said the people of Ba were proud with the achievements of their rugby boys.
Bala also thanked the players for their sacrifices and commitment over the past two months in camp.
'Maintain the discipline that has enabled you to stay unbeaten in the B Division in order to fulfil your goal of playing against the best provincial teams," he told the players.
'The vanua of Ba, business community, the Ba Town Council are proud of your achievements and we will be supporting you in your attempt to beat Macuata."
Patel also echoed similar sentiments calling on the players to remain committed to task.
He inspired the players to follow the legacy of their soccer brothers and to make Ba proud by winning against Macuata.
"Maintain the commitment that you have shown throughout the campaign and play your hearts out for the vanua of Ba," Patel told the players.
"Your achievements in the B Division campaign has united the people of Ba and we will support you throughout your rugby campaign to play in the top."
Team manager Filipe Turaga thanked everyone for their support.
"This kind of support will inspire the boys to give their utmost best during training and on the match day," said Turaga.
