PARENTS of Vunimoli Islamia College in Labasa have applauded the efforts of the teachers and the management for holding their first-ever open day exhibition at the school yesterday.
About 600 people from all walks of life attended the event. Speaking on behalf of the parents, Ema Kato said it was an eye-opener not only to the students but to the community as well.
"This is something different and we thank the school for having the insight to push our children's education forward," she said.
"Our children will now have the opportunity to learn the different types of subjects offered in school and also expand their academic skills and knowledge."
Principal Subhash Chandra said it was an opportunity for people to see the subjects offered in school and for the students to learn from the subject departments.
