IMPRESSED with the success of its tournament last weekend, the organisers of the New Vision 7s are set to stage another tournament early next month. The tournament last week was won by Sacred Heart which defeated Hideaway Hurricanes 22-10. The next tournament will be held on October 5.

THE Fiji Rugby Union yesterday announced the dismissal of its financial controller Umesh Prasad. A statement said the dismissal was the result of reviews of the FRU's business and intention to implement reforms. FRU said termination was effective immediately.
THE Flying Fijians will face two South Africans when they take on the British Barbarians in November at Twickenham. The Barbarians, who will be coached by NZ mentor Steve Hansen, confirmed South Africa duo Schalk Burger and Jean de Villiers will play in the November 30 clash which marks the centenary of the FRU.
LOTE Tuqiri has joined the English club Leinster on a short-term deal. Fiji-born Tuqiri, 33, has represented Australia in both codes, most recently rugby league after leaving Premiership club Leicester in 2010. Tuqiri who won 67 caps for Australia and has been playing rugby league for the Wests Tigers since 2010.
