FOUR former Flying Fijians and three national sevens stars will boost the Naitasiri side as they prepare to face holders Suva in the fourth Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy challenge tomorrow.
Former national 15s coaches Ilivasi Tabua and Sam Domoni have been assisting Eroni Vereivalu with the preparations of the team for the do or die match.
They last held the coveted title back in 2009 and are hoping to reclaim it tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
Former Flying Fijians Waisea Luveniyali and Waisale Vatuvoka are expected to man the halves combination while former sevens stars Nasoni Roko and Mosese Luveitasau are favourites to start on the wings while veteran Senivalati Vunibola is expected to slot in at lock.
The five are seasoned campaigners and boast the tag of 'been there, done that'.
Naitasiri team manager Asaeli Nakatasavu said that their backline was capable of doing damage provided they had the possession.
He said the inclusion of experienced players had boosted the morale in camp ahead of the games.
"These players have been representing Naitasiri for a couple of years now and they have the experience that we need," Nakatasavu said.
"While it is not clear whether they will be in the starting line-up on Saturday yet, their inclusion has lifted the morale of the young players in the side."
He said the younger players had a chance to learn good things from experienced players and it would also urge the new players to bring their game up to match the experience of the senior players.
"On one hand it's a challenge for the young players to keep up with the experienced reps and on another side it's a good learning opportunity for them."
The match will kick off at 3.30pm tomorrow.
