THE Fiji Red Cross Society (FRCS) hopes to take its work to new heights with its revamped website that was launched on Wednesday.
"As a society, we aim to boost our engagement with all Fijians, through our communication channels both on the ground through our branches and now, the World Wide Web via our new and improved website," FRCS director general Filipe Nainoca said.
He said the website would provide updated information during disasters and that it would enable the NGO to reach more people.
In launching the website, acting Australian head of mission Glenn Miles said the partnership between donors and volunteers was important.
"The Red Cross movement and Fiji Red Cross Society's existence is underpinned by volunteers and the ethos of volunteerism," Mr Miles said.
"What we do as donors is provide the tools, but it's the communities and the organisation that actually gets out there and does the work, so one can't exist without the other."
