THE Fiji under-18 rugby side has a lot at stake during its tour to Australia for the Tri Series against Australia and the New Zealand Schoolboys.
On is a possible rugby scholarship as scouts will be out hunting for future stars in this tournament.
Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby president Napolioni Silatolu said while they would want the players to play for Fiji, they would be pleased if an opportunity to represent another nation arose during the tour.
He said they had prepared the players well so that they could do Fiji proud in this tournament.
"Whilst we would want players to be in Fiji, we still can't stop them because they would see what is best for them and at the end of the day, its their decision."
Silatolu said the whole purpose of this tour was to gauge their performance in terms of development of secondary school players.
"The whole essence of this tour is development. We have been developing these players since the under-14 grade and we want to see the depth of our development.
"So basically this tour is really a way to gauge our performance and the calibre of our U18 players."
The national team will leave the country today.
