LEADERS from Fiji's three disciplined services came together for a leadership workshop conducted by an international organisation.
Assistant Police Commissioner Inspector General Isikeli Vuniwaqa said the RFMF organised the program, which the Fiji Corrections Service and Fiji Police Force leaders also attended.
"Good leadership in the disciplined services really cannot be overemphasised.
"It is the integral part of the organisation," Mr Vuniwaqa said.
He said while different services had different schools of thought on leadership, the workshop's target was to "nurture a common understanding" of leadership in Fiji.
"We as disciplined services organisers see leadership as an integral part of moving Fiji forward," he said.
Jon Jones, who represents the worldwide organisation Equip, whose purpose is to train leaders addressed the participants.
"I believe that the way a true leader comes about is that they find a need, that is connected with a passion and a purpose that they have in their life," said Mr Jones.
