Kumar wins Ba golf Open

RAHUL Kumar warmed up for this weekend's RC Manubhai Ba Open Championship by winning the General Machinery-sponsored stroke event at the Rarawai golf course on Sunday.

He won the overall gross title with a score of even par 69. Subash Chand won the overall nett with a score of 64 nett.

Asish Chand won the A grade nett. He scored 70. Abdul Khan was second with 71. He also won the nearest to the pin prize.

Pradeep Chandra won the B grade nett. Chandra scored 69. John Ruben was second with 70. Krishneel Kumar was third with 72 nett.

Aman Anish won the C grade nett with a score of 65. Ashwin Chand was second with 66 while Afzal Khan finished third with 72.

Vishwa Nadan hit the longest drive.

Meanwhile the Islands Electric Challenge ended in a tie at the Lautoka Golf Club on Sunday.

Former Fiji and Lautoka soccer rep Vinod Chand partnered with Raymond Singh against Abdul Jalal and Prem Chand in the fixture.
