DIRECTOR of Public Prosecutions lawyer Josaia Niudamu yesterday requested High Court judge Justice Salesi Temo to grant him more time to file disclosures in the case of the state against Amani Bosenawai.
Mr Bosenawai is in court facing aggravated burglary-related charges.
Mr Niudamu yesterday requested that he be given one week to file disclosures for the former Strike Back Unit police officer.
Mr Bosenawai's lawyer Samanunu Vaniqi did not object to his request with Justice Temo allowing the request.
In a previous court appearance, Justice Temo questioned why Mr Bosenawai was granted bail when a large sum of money was still yet to be recovered. His lawyer had answered that her client's safety was going to be breached as he was once a member of the Strike Back Unit, which was involved in capturing criminals.
The matter has been adjourned to September 30.
