AN Early Childhood Education symposium focusing on advocacy for informal and disadvantaged communities is presently being conducted by Save the Children Fiji at the Lautoka Hotel.
SCF education manager Barbara Ratabacaca said the symposium was an avenue to facilitate a forum of best early childhood education practices.
"It is also a chance to engage stakeholders to create awareness for the Vuli Taumada Shishak program, community education committee and early childhood education teacher representatives," Ms Ratabacaca said.
In addition, she said the symposium would cover a wide range of topics on the importance of early childhood education, child protection, health, the role of Ministry of Education and the work of SCF.
"There are a total of 42 participants lined up for this symposium.
"We will be in Suva on Wednesday before moving to Labasa on Friday."
