CORPORATE firm Tappoo Group of Companies has taken over the operations of 16 Mobil-owned service stations around the country.
This was confirmed yesterday by Mobil Oil Fiji country manager Ewe Gen Lim.
Mr Lim said Tappoo had a strong history of retailing and customer service in Fiji and he was pleased to welcome them to the Mobil team.
"Mobil is committed to ensuring a smooth transition to the new arrangements and we apologise for any disruption to customers," said Mr Lim.
And while 16 Mobil sites temporarily closed last Sunday to implement the change of operator, they would progressively reopen over a four-day period with all sites expected to be up and running under new management by September 19.
Nine other Mobil sites are not impacted by the change in operator and would continue operating as usual.
