TWELVE business executives from the Miyagi and Tohoku areas of Japan are on a business tour of the country searching for investment opportunities.
Led by the Consul General for Fiji Takayuki Moriya, the group arrived in Fiji on Friday.
Hosted by the Japanese Society of Fiji at the Daikoku Restaurant in Nadi after their arrival, Mr Moriya said this was an opportunity to build a stronger bond and friendship with local businesses and to introduce Fiji to the investors.
Over the next few days, the delegation will conduct workshops in Denarau and visit resorts in the Denarau area and Mana Island Resort and Spa in the Mamanucas.
Japanese Society of Fiji president Hiroshi Matsumoto said the opening of the new consulate office in Sendai last year resulted in an increase in business interest in Fiji.
