Update: 10:00AM A 78-YEAR-OLD farmer of Viani Village in Savusavu discovered some plants believed to be marijuana while he was out in his plantation yesterday.
Confirming this, police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the farmer informed the village headman of his find after returning from the farm.
"The matter was later reported to police. The plants were uprooted and the length ranged from 6-58 centimetres," Inspector Sokomuri said.
Inspector Sokomuri said the plants were sent to Koronivia for analysis.
