A CLOTHES and book drive by charity organisation Leadership Fiji reached its conclusion in Suva yesterday when they handed over six cartons to non-government organisation (NGO) Homes of Hope.
Homes of Hope campus leader Nanise Rasuaki thanked Leadership Fiji, calling the gift a "blessing".
"It's beautiful," she said.
"It really shows the community support and it's beautiful to see that happening here in Fiji," she said.
Homes of Hope provides education, training and counselling to young girls who become single mothers through sexual abuse.
"Let's just work together and not forget about each other and how significant each person is," she said as her message to the people of Fiji.
Leadership Fiji spokeswoman Barbara Ratabacaca said the response to the clothes and book drive was overwhelming, and expressed her appreciation to members of the public for their support.
In addition to the presentation to Homes of Hope, six cartons were given to the Western Division to assist the victims of Tropical Cyclone Evan.
