A GROUP of committed and enthusiastic aspiring rugby players comradely achieved a milestone for their club in funding their new rugby outfit.
The timely boost has further motivated the Naviago Rugby Club players to follow their dream and to stamp their dominance in the Lautoka club competition.
Laced with high school students, tertiary students and village youths, the side is optimistic that through teamwork, the players can do wonders.
Team official Ponipate Radaniva said the side had what it took to match the best teams in Lautoka.
"The new jerseys were given to 22 young boys and this was an achievement for them because they had fundraised for their jerseys themselves," he said.
"We had also been affected a lot by the floods last year and the cyclone so we thought of a way to fundraise for the jerseys. So the boys held soli every Friday and we succeeded in raising about $3000."
Radaniva said the players had the talent and skills to win the second round of competition.
The side will challenge for the Design Engineering Cup against either Vio or current holders Army next weekend.
