OVALAU Rugby Plus team is set to embark on a three-month tour to Australia to promote healthy living through the sport.
The side which has 22 players who were part of Ovalau Rugby Union will leave the country on September 20.
Rugby Plus national co-ordinator Lasarusa Nasenaivalu said this was the second tour for the team.
"The Ovalau Rugby Plus was formed seven years ago. Last year we toured Australia with 13 players only" he said.
"This team is part of the program facilitated by Island Breeze Australia which promotes not only rugby but other things which are part of the sport."
During the tour, the team will play in several 7s and 15s tournaments including the Gold Coast 7s and Pacific Cup competition.
The side won the Pacific Cup title last year.
"The team will also help out an Aboriginal community and run clinics to teach them about discipline and other things that impact their daily lives," Nasenaivalu said.
"Through this program, we are able to expose our players and at the same time improve their discipline and change their character and attitude towards the society."
