HOT spots are areas in organisations that are most vulnerable to corrupt behaviour.
This was FICAC's findings after completing its Corruption Prevention and Risk Reduction Report on the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources as a result of the assessment conducted in April this year.
According to the Commission hot spots meant any situation where one person or a small group of people are engaged in the use of money and those who have powers to issue licences.
This was carried out to establish the organisation's ethical infrastructure and generic hot spots.
According to the commission the assessment process also involved assessing and measuring the incidence of weak spots using the CP2R standards and its weighing formula.
