THE National Federation Party will meet this weekend and discuss the new Constitution.
It will take a stand on the Constitution, which will also indicate if the party would contest the 2014 elections or not.
NFP general secretary Vishwa Nadan said the party's meeting to discuss the Constitution would be held in Nadi on Sunday.
"We will be talking on the Constitution and taking a decision on it. We have to discuss the party's stand on it," he said.
"The party's high-powered working committee will discuss the Constitution."
On the party's preparation for the elections, he said, "We don't know whether we will contest or not. It all depends on the outcome of the working committee meeting this coming weekend."
Mr Nadan said since the party was celebrating its golden jubilee this year, discussions were also expected to be held on the celebrations.
He said there were plans to hold the golden jubilee celebrations in either October or November, saying the date would be confirmed at the Nadi meeting.
"We will inform the party's founders and members in due course about the celebrations," he said.
