THREE of the four men from Bua who were reported missing after a fishing trip over the weekend have managed to swim ashore.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the trio made it to shore yesterday afternoon without the 27-year-old captain who was still missing.
"The three managed to swim to shore at Naikavaki Village in Navakasiga but unfortunately, the captain is not with them," she said.
"Two of the men have been discharged while one is still under observation at the Lekutu Health Centre.
"At the moment, police are still searching for the captain as investigation continues."
It was earlier reported that the group travelled in a fibreglass boat that left Baulailai in Koroinasolo on Saturday and headed to Yadua waters.
The group was camping at Cawa near Baulailai and decided to travel to fish in the Yadua waters.
The group was supposed to have returned at 4pm on Saturday.
