By LUKE RAWALAI
Monday, September 09, 2013

Update: 6:12PM THE Seaqaqa Telecentre, the first telecentre in the Northern Division, was officially opened today by the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.

Speaking during the opening of the centre at the Seaqaqa Central College, Commodore Bainimarama said the telecentre was one of the five centres planned for the North.

He labelled the centre as one of the miracles of the modern age as it opened up new horizons for people across the world.

"It is providing them with knowledge and skills," he said.

"A Fijian mother can talk to her son serving with the UN peacekeepers in the Golan Heights or a daughter working in Suva."
