ILAITIA Ravouvou came off the bench to score two tries and help Ba upset Rewa 38-25 in the B Division semi-final at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday.
One point separated the two teams at halftime but the Gabirieli Naborisi-coached Ba side stepped up a notch in the second spell showing their superior fitness.
It was all Ba in the final quarter, scoring three tries to shut out the Delta team.
Naborisi, a former national rep, was elated with the result. He said the young boys had done him proud.
"We are still developing," Naborisi said. "But I'm delighted with how the boys played. I would like to thank them for their efforts. They were very mobile.
"They are young players and have a long way to go. We will have to keep them together. I would like to thank all our supporters and the vanua of Ba, especially Nailaga.
"Next is the final and we will turn our focus towards that from Monday."
Ba's other tries were scored by Bose Vesivesi, Aporosa Qata, Malakai Bose and Solomone Naisau. Fullback Jone Naio and centre Vatilia Turuva kicked two conversions each.
Halfback Josefa Vasakula scored two tries for Rewa. Winger Eparama Qisa scored the other try. Glen Cakautini and Joeli Kavilo kicked a penalty each. Cakautini kicked two conversions.
