TWENTY two-time champions Ba and host Lautoka have been grouped in the pool of death for the Courts Inter District Competition at Churchill Park next month.
The favourites have been drawn with top guns Labasa and Rewa.
Defending champion Suva is grouped with Fiji FACT winner Nadi, Navua and Nadroga.
Courts Fiji Limited chief executive officer PL Munasinghe said the IDC was the most prestigious tournament in the Fiji Football Association calendar.
He said the company was pleased to be part of the IDC diamond jubilee celebrations this year.
"Courts are extremely pleased to be part of the tournament and continue the tradition of sponsoring for the 14th consecutive year," Munasinghe said.
"The sponsorship for this year is $105,000 which is the largest sponsorship of all Fiji FA events. In addition there is also a significant amount spent on promoting the tournament.
"The principal aim of the sponsorship is to lift the standard of football in the country."
The pool draws were done by some members of the public who were present at the Courts branch in Lautoka.
Ba team coach Arvind Singh said they were in a tight pool.
He said anything could happen in 60-minute football.
"We have a very tough draw," Singh said.
"We have already started our preparations. The team will be leaving for New Zealand for a short tour on September 19.
"The main thing is that we will then have to switch to the 60-minute game.
"Throughout this year we have been playing 90 minutes soccer.
"The best prepared team will qualify for the semi-finals.
"Looking at the other pool, Nadroga proved many people wrong in the Battle of the Giants by reaching the semi-final. So you cannot take any team lightly."
Lautoka Football Association president Shalendra Prasad said goal scoring would be the vital factor during the IDC.
"Being in a tough pool, every goal will count," Prasad said.
The winner of the Super Premier grade will receive $15,000. The winner of the premier grade will get $5,500. The winner of the secondary schools will get $1,000 while primary school winner will receive $500.
The IDC will be held from October 10 to October 13.
