SEMESA Naiseruvati-led Suva One side won the men's triples tournament at the Suva Bowling Club yesterday.
The day-long tournament sponsored by the club had six teams from Suva (two), Tamavua (three) and one from Rewa club competing.
Suva One which also had the services of Avinash Chand and Joseph Hae remained undefeated after five rounds of competition to finish on 10 points.
Babu Khan's Rewa defeated the Wise Baker-led Tamavua team on countback to finish second after both were tied on six points.
Tournament co-ordinator Michael Ng said they organised the competition every week to revive the interest among the bowlers affiliated with the Suva Bowling Club.
He said they also develop newcomers through this weekly event.
"This is just to maintain the interest among our members and at the same time try to teach the newcomers some bowling skills," Ng said.
Suva One won $90 while Rewa received $60.
Ng said they also held a competition for the losers to ensure they had something to fight. In the three end play-off for losers, Ben O'Connor's team defeated Master Pene's side to win the $30 prizemoney.
