NADI town was a sea of blue as Ratu Navula College celebrated its historic Deans Trophy victory with a march yesterday.
Ratu Navula College defeated Queen Victoria School 19-16 to wrestle the prestigious title to the Western Division for the first time.
Ratu Navula College manager Adi Marica Dawai said the hard work, dedication, commitment, passion and honour of the players had been paid off with the win.
"This history is not only for the players but the families, communities and the vanua as well," Adi Marica said.
Nadi Rugby Union president Meli Tora, who is the former principal of Ratu Navula College, said their school motto "nothing is impossible when the heart is willing" was displayed by the players.
Mr Tora said Nadi Rugby Union had set a concept to create pathways for the rugby players through their partnerships.
He said they would be looking at ways to see their Jack's of Fiji sponsorship trickle down to the secondary and primary school level.
