Update: 1:50PM MISS Fiji Caireen Erbsleben's national costume failed to impress judges at the 63rd Miss World final in Bali, Indonesia.
The Nadi beauty on Friday took part in the preliminary rounds to select the world's best national costumes but failed to make it to the next round.
Confirming this, Miss World Fiji national director Andhy Blake said failing to advance to the next round would also eliminate Fiji's traditional dance being performed during the live telecast of the pageant finale on September 28 in front of an estimated audience of one billion.
Mr Blake said the best national costume will officially open the 2013 Dances of the World and Miss Samoa whose costume has advanced to the next round is expected to be in the final line up.
Miss Fiji's costume titled 'Earth' comprised of Magimagi, masi, shells and black pearls and was designed by Aisea Konrote.
