GROUND unavailability has forced the Suva Football Association to cancel this weekend's club competition.
Round six of competition in the premier and super premier grades were supposed to be held at Buckhurst and Bidesi parks in Suva tomorrow.
But Suva local league co-ordinator Niranjan Prasad said the Fiji Sports Council had advised them the ground would be unavailable this weekend.
He said they tried to secure other venues but none were available for the competition tomorrow.
"There will be a rugby match played at the ANZ Stadium (today) and the teams will be using the Buckhurst and Bidesi parks for warm-up," Prasad.
"The council has advised us the ground will be closed on Sunday. However, they have advised us it will be free next week.
"We also tried Albert Park but it is closed until October and USP ground is also not available this weekend."
Prasad said they were planning to hold matches on Saturdays in order to complete the competition on time.
"Continuous rain has forced cancellation of couple of rounds of games and we will do everything possible to complete the competition on time."
Samabula and Wailoku represented Suva in the National Club Championship last year.
