DEFENDING champions Lunasea made a good start in the 30th Annual Game Fishing Tournament at the Pacific Harbour yesterday.
The vessel collected 354.9 points in the first day of competition and trail behind leader Freedive.
Freedive collected 383.4 points to take the upper hand in The Pearl South Pacific Resort-sponsored tournament.
Tournament co-ordinator Mark Spurling was impressed with the catches and hoped for exciting competition in the remaining two days.
"It was a good day of fishing with plenty wahoo coming in, we are looking forward to tomorrow (today)," he said.
