THE Blood Services Unit at the CWM Hospital will receive much-needed repairs next week when staff members of BSP carry out their corporate social work there.
At what was the kick-off to the renovation works, BSP hosted a successful blood drive during which the bank's marketing manager revealed their intention to carry out the repairs.
"The BSP Suva Central branch is part of the branch community project up at the blood unit at CWM Hospital which is the renovation of the blood unit," Nirdesh Singh said yesterday.
He said as part of the bank's corporate social responsibility, they would renovate the building.
"When you're a patient there and you're asked to give blood for your relatives, that's where they go and that place is fairly run down at the moment.
"So when they approached us about it, we said 'yes sure' and this drive is to kick that off, so they'll scrape the walls, paint the walls, give them some new furniture and hopefully get it done quickly," he said.
The renovation work is expected to begin next week and conclude within a month or so.
