HUMANS are not the only ones who need immunisation when they fall sick.
Animals need just as much care and medication to combat diseases.
The Crest Agriculture Show hosted the veterinary section of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Agriculture assistant Mili Koroi said they had more sales throughout the week than a normal day at the office.
"The demand has been great from many people who not only have pets but are also involved with animal farming," Ms Koroi said.
"We do have our clinics in every town but we were astounded by the response of the public to the availability of medicine at the show.
"We don't only offer medication but also have equipment for different animals."
Ms Koroi said the medicine for the different animals varied.
"We have drenches for sheep and goats.
"Diarrhoeal suspension is also available and this is for all the livestock that have contracted diarrhoea.
"Antibiotics are also available for fowls, this includes chickens and special shampoos for dogs and deworming tablets.
"We also offer treatment of animals along with providing medication."
