QUALITY is what separates Ram Sami and Sons Limited from other players in the country's poultry industry, according to a company official.
The company's Western sale supervisor Krishneel Lal made the comment during an interview at the Crest Agriculture Show in Lautoka yesterday.
He said the show was a good chance for the company to create awareness among members of the public and customers about their award-winning products.
Mr Lal also thanked the Agriculture Ministry for organising the show.
"We are here to show the Ram Sami business and create awareness of our products," he said.
"We are overwhelmed with the positive response from the people who buy our products.
"We make sure our quality is not compromised and our customers have trusted us with regards to the positive response over the past two days here in Lautoka.
"The company is progressing well despite competition from other competitors."
From humble beginnings about 50 years ago, the company is one of Fiji's leading egg producers and distributors.
Last year, it won the Reserve Bank of Fiji Agriculture Exporter of the Year, and has extended its services to Vanuatu and Marshall Islands.
A 100 per cent locally-owned company, Ram Sami earned about $500,000 in export earnings last year and expects an even better performance this year.
Mr Lal said the company recently opened its third automated layer shed at Wainadoi in Navua.
