NAMOSI suffered a setback to its Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy challenge preparations.
Two key players — Jona Vota and Leo Naikasau — will not be part of the team when they face holders Suva on Saturday.
The duo are occupied with the Fiji 7s team whcih will be playing at the 13th Pacific Mini Games in Wallis and Futuna.
"We do not want to stop players from playing for our country," team manager Lemeki Rokovesa said.
"We have given the green light to play for Fiji at the Mini Games and we wish them the very best."
He said the duo's departure would not deter the team from trying to win the challenge match this weekend. Suva successfully defended the trophy against Lautoka last Saturday.
Namosi edged Suva 14-13 during the Digicel Cup competition at Thomson Park this season.
Rokovesa said they would continue to prepare for the crucial encounter.
Namosi is expected to field former Flying Fijians Apakuki Vuaviri and Iliesa Salusalu in its run on team.
Former Fiji sevens skipper Setefano Cakau, Sailosi Naiteqe and Levani Botia, Ilai Tinai and Joji Ragamate are also included in the Namosi squad.
