THE Pacific Harbour Game Fishing Club will host the 30th Annual Game Fishing Tournament this weekend.
The three-day tournament starting this Friday is sponsored by The Pearl South Pacific Resort.
Tournament co-ordinator Mark Spurling said they were anticipating an exciting competition this year.
He said they would follow the successful 2012 format where competitions would be held in two categories.
"Pool A entry is $3000 per boat regardless of how many anglers and Pool B entry is $600 per boat regardless of how many anglers," Spurling said.
"The winner of Pool A will win the total pot of Pool A which is estimated at $15000. The winner of Pool B will win the total pot of Pool B which is estimated at $2000.
"In addition to this, we will also be offering many attractive prizes in both categories."
Spurling said the whole event would be held at The Pearl Resort with the main prize giving event to be held on Sunday.
He said on the first two days of competition, the fishing would start at 7am and finish by 4pm with the weigh in by 5pm.
"There is however a briefing on the first night, Thursday at The Pearl at 6.30pm."
