SHOWCASING talent and raising funds are the main purposes of a Natadola Has Talent carnival which started on Wednesday at Tuva Indian School.
The event, organised by InterContinental Fiji, will run for four days and features amusement rides, foodstalls and performances by local artists.
Event organiser Jacob Pau'u said one of the acts, the resort choir, would seek to raise funds to represent the country at the annual Fiji Day celebrations in Sydney later this year.
"As an impassioned and meaningful part of our culture, we are proud to inspire the world with the spirit of the Fiji Islands through songs," Mr Pau'u said.
"Whether you create the harmonies or simply enjoy them, music is an enriching gift that brings people together and creates a sense of community and belonging."
