BESIDES the opportunity for mothers to show off their adorable little ones, the Johnson and Johnson baby show in Labasa was also a time for nurses to conduct clinics for about 100 babies.
Yesterday, the Civic Centre building was filled with excitement as toddlers were dressed in their best outfit to be part of the Festival of the Friendly North baby show.
Festival contestants also had time to carry them around.
The babies were generally examined on their health status.
Baby show chairwoman Nanise Gucake said three prizes were awarded for each of the four categories.
She said this year's event had improved compared to past years.
"There were 108 babies who turned up with their mothers and guardians to be part of the show," Ms Gucake said.
"The winners in each category were awarded and we concluded the day around midday."
Ms Gucake said they were looking forward to hosting yet another bigger show next year.
