CATHOLIC Womens League Fiji national president Sulita Tuiqali hopes the women who are part of the annual conference in Nakasi will share the knowledge they have been imparted to their communities.
The conference, which opened last Thursday, featured key speakers from the Fiji Police Force, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environment and other governing bodies all raising awareness on their roles and responsibilities.
"While we come together to encourage each other spiritually, we wanted this year's conference to be also educational, which is why we invited the different departments and ministries," Mrs Tuiqali said.
"I was worried that the information shared would be too much to take in in the few days of conference we have but the women have been soaking everything in like a sponge.
"It is encouraging to see them so attentive to the awareness programs. It is my prayer that they will continue to take it all in and then take it out to the communities which they represent."
Women also held a market day and discussed the 2015 strategic plan.
