A TROUGH of low pressure is expected to bring occasional showers to the northern parts of the group, the Nadi weather office has revealed.
According to forecasters, the trough of low pressure system was last located towards the north of the group and is expected to travel southwards.

The weather office has also revealed that those areas will experience occasional showers from Friday and right into the weekend.
Forecasters also confirmed weather conditions for other parts would be more favourable.
"There will be brief showers over the eastern and interior parts of the larger areas," the duty forecaster said.
"Weather conditions for other parts will be fine, especially those in the Western Division."
The rest of the group should also expect to experience some cold weather in the evenings.
The Nadi office said minimum temperatures would be recorded between 20 and 21 degrees.
Meanwhile, the strong wind warning previously in force for southwest Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca, northern Vanua Levu, northern Lau waters and Vatu-i-Ra and Kadavu passage has been cancelled.
