THE Methodist Church in Fiji will introduce its revised logo today for endorsement.
Church communications secretary Reverend James Bhagwan yesterday said the revised logo was accepted at the final meeting of the church's standing committee held at the Navuso Methodist Church three weeks ago.
He said the logo would be presented to the delegates so they could understand its meaning and what each symbols signified.
He said it had a range of symbolism to express the church in a world of struggle, yet still forging ahead, with the power of the Spirit to urge and encourage the church forward.
"The new logo is exciting and dynamic," Mr Bhagwan said.
"It was important that church members understand and accept the new logo.
"Church members need to know why the changes were necessary."
Mr Bhagwan said the new logo symbolised the journey of the Methodist church outside its comfort zone and connect with others outside their usual sphere.
It also signified that the journey was not easy and calm, but one that forged ahead in the face of the "winds of change" affecting Fiji in the 21st century.
