THE family of a six-year-old boy who was killed in a road accident at Korovuto in Nadi last Thursday is calling for justice.
The driver is still on the run.
The deceased, a Class One student of Tavua Primary School, was spending the school break with his grandparents when the accident happened.
His dad and namesake Jacoro Nima Sr said the driver should be responsible for the death of his only son.
"We never imagined such a thing could have happened to my son," said Mr Nima.
"He is the only boy in the family and we want the full brunt of the law to take its course on the driver involved.
"We are also calling on police and members of the public to support the family in finding the driver to be judged for his action."
He said the car failed to stop after the accident.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro is urging members of the public for information that can help locate and identify the vehicle.
"The only information we have so far is that the vehicle was white in colour," Ms Naisoro said.
"Anyone with information that could help investigators locate the vehicle and driver can contact the nearest police station."
