SUVA City special administrator Chandu Umaria honoured his deal with his Sigatoka counterpart Jay Whyte and wore the Nadroga shirt to work yesterday.
The two had placed a wager on the Digicel Cup final between Nadroga and Suva, which was eventually won by the Stallions 21-12 on Saturday at Lawaqa Park.
The bet was the winner of showdown will see the opposing special administrator wear the champion's jersey or shirt to work yesterday.
Umaria congratulated Nadroga and Whyte for the win and added he would be ready to do the same in the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy challenge which kicks off this Saturday.
Suva will defend the prestigious trophy against Lautoka.
"This Nadroga shirt gives me and my body a very special feeling. The black and white colours make me feel my Suva soccer team," Umaria said.
"The blue stallion on the shirt makes me feel my Suva rugby team - Suva's blue jersey.
"I am also sending him a present from the Suva Rugby Union to brighten up his town whenever he tours his municipality wearing this Suva rugby shirt."
Whyte said he sent the Nadroga Bula shirt to make sure his counterpart looked at his best.
"I'd just like to thank Chandu for having a good spirited bet with me and I appreciate the fact he was the first to call and congratulate me after the final whistle on Saturday," Whyte said.
"I hope that in future many more good natured wagers are placed between other special administrator's in showing their support for their teams."
Whyte on behalf of the Sigatoka Town Council congratulated the Nadroga Rugby Union for a well deserved victory and invited all fans, friends and family to be part of the victory procession in their town.
