THE Yamacia Rugby Club has started its preparation for the Australian tour in October.
At the end of this month, the club is organising a tournament to assist in raising funds for the event.
With the initiative to fight drugs in Navosa, club president David Dakuitoga believes the Australian tour will open doors for more tours.
He requested all Navosa rugby clubs to support the team.
"Yamacia is requesting all the Navosa clubs to support our tour to Australia since this will be the beginning of the many tours to come and also increasing the chances of other rugby clubs touring," he said.
"Invitation is also open to any other clubs.
"We are hosting a fundraiser sevens tournament which coincide with a village soli on the 28th and 29th of this month," Dakuitoga said.
Total prizemoney of $2300 will be at stake where each team is liable to pay $120 registration fee.
Dakuitoga hopes to increase the number of teams which eventually increase the prizemoney.
The Botitu brothers of Filimoni and Simeli who play rugby with Waisale Serevi's club in the United States will be conducting clinics at the event.
