NADI Muslim College student Baarroon Hussain will be out to create history at the Nadi Airport Golf Club today.
The 15-year-old holds a five-shot lead going into the final round of the Coastal Rentals Nadi Open Championship.
Baarroon, who is studying agriculture and geography, will become the youngest ever winner of the major title if he is able to continue his fine form.
However, the youngster, who plays on a four handicap, will face a lot of pressure in the final seeded draw.
He will be rubbing shoulders against seasoned players such as Fiji number one Olaf Allen Jr, Anuresh Chandra, Amitesh Chandra and his father Abid Hussain.
Baaroon said he was not worried about the pressure.
"There is a lot at stake," Baarroon said. "But I will go out there and just play my game. I had two birdies in the second round and hope to improve on that."
He scored two over par 72 yesterday for a total of 143 after 36 holes.
Overnight leader Paul James of Laucala Island had a miserable round after carding an even par 72 on Friday. His second round score of 78 saw him drop to 148.
Airports Fiji Limited fireman Anuresh is expected to be the biggest threat in the final round. He carded 76 and is on a total of 149 tied with his brother and National Golf Association of Fiji secretary Amitesh Chandra.
Abid is on 150 followed by Allen Jr on 151. National squad member Ronnel Prakash hasn't found form in the tournament and is 13 shots behind the leader.
The final round will tee off this morning.
