MISS Sinopec Natasha Verma was crowned the 2013 Vodafone Hibiscus Miss Charity queen after she raised $27,500 towards the Charity Chest.
The 2013 Charity Chest totalled $86,048.45 this year.
"It is because of your tremendous support that we are able to provide to those who are less fortunate through our Charity Chest," Hibiscus Events Group Inc executive chairman Hirdesh Prasad said to those who turned up for the Miss Charity crowning.
He revealed that since 2006, the Charity Chest had contributed $1million to respective organisations.
Mr Prasad thanked Ms Verma for her contribution towards the Charity Chest and told her to wear the 2013 Miss Charity crown proudly for the people of Suva.
"Wear it for all the sponsors who have contributed financially towards this festival and for all the parents and family members who have fundraised over the last few months towards the Charity Chest.
"She wears this crown for the organisations and institutions that urgently need this financial support, for our unfortunate brothers and sisters who desperately need our help and most importantly she wears this crown for all Fijians."
Ms Verma also won the Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Miss Internet award title.
