2012 Sports Administrator of the Year award recipient Lillian Amasa is ready for her next big assignment with the national side.
The Weightlifting Fiji secretary will be managing four weightlifters at the IX Pacific Mini Games in Wallis and Futuna early next month.
Tevita Tawai, Paula Taqua, Apolonia Vaivai and Seruwaia Malani will represent the country in the sport at the PMG, which will be held from September 2 to 12.
Amasa, who is looking forward to this challenge, is happy with the preparation of the team.
Vaivai and Tawai are in New Caledonia training at the Oceania Weightlifting Institute while the remaining two train daily in Levuka under the guidance of coach Jo Vueti.
"Seruwaia Malani, who is the youngest member of the team, is coping well and is disciplined in her approach towards her training. She is also looking forward to competing in her events," Amasa said in a statement.
"All the lifters will continue to train in Levuka at their gym upon Apolonia and Tevita's return from New Caledonia.
"Weightlifting Fiji thanks the public and their families for the support enabling our athletes to continue to strive for excellence."
Weightlifting competitions at the PMG will be held from September 3 to 5.
